Milestone in space research described Americans
Astronomers discover two extrasolar planets, having a size similar to Earth. Two planets identified by Kepler Space Telescope, NASA's located 946 light away from Earth, according to scientists who discovered them, these planets may have had in the past the conditions necessary to accommodate life.
It is the first time that scientists detect planets with masses very similar to Earth.

"It's the most important planets detected so far," said the head of the research team that made the discovery, Dr. Francois Fresin, from the Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, Cambridge, USA. He added that both planets now have very high temperatures and virtually impossible to host life. But in the past, and wandered farther away from the parent star is very likely had even water on their surfaces, in liquid form, thus providing ideal conditions for the development of life forms.

The two planets were named Kepler 20f and Kepler 20e. The first is about the same mass as Earth, and scientists have pointed out that in the past may have been his twin brother and had the same average temperature. The second exoplanet, the Kepler 20e, is slightly smaller than Earth - its diameter is estimated that 0.87 times smaller - and wanders into the nearest distance to the parent star. This makes it very warm and the average temperature is around 767 degrees Celsius. As announced by scientists, the two planets are needed to make one complete orbit around the star, of 20 days and six days respectively, while the Earth does the same behavior at a time. From the data collected by the Kepler Space Telescope, shows that the two planets are rocky and possibly have a core of iron. The kepler 20f which has nearly the same mass as Earth, (the diameter is 1.03 times that of our planet) could possibly develop a thin layer of water vapor in its atmosphere. The planet has an average temperature of 432 degrees Celsius and for this reason it is impossible to exist in the atmosphere of hydrogen or helium. So far the Kepler Space Telescope has detected 35 planets but this is the first time that manages to discover planets corresponding in size to Earth.
