Tire without air!
Do you like this story?
The Japanese tire maker Bridgestone reports ...( "Have developed an airless tire, which in future could be a sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to the traditional tires."
The company aims to participate actively in creating a more sustainable society, with particular emphasis on three areas to enhance the ecology, conservation of energy and reduce carbon emissions. The tire without air will contribute to a healthier environment, not only now but for future generations. Airless tires have less environmental impact than standard tires, but so far similar ideas tires proved complicated for mass production. The Bridgestone developed the technology to practical application. Thanks to the unique construction of the rays, which extend along the inner sides of the tires and support the weight of the vehicle, there is no need to fill regular air in tires, which means that tires require less maintenance. Same time eliminates the concern about punctures. Moreover, the construction of the radius within the tire consists of reusable, thermoplastic resin and rubber along the section of the tread, the materials used are 100% recyclable. As a result, tires set new standards in the fields of environment, safety and anapaftikotitas. The Bridgestone seeks technological development to achieve this one - renewable process, which will act proactively maximizing the cyclical use of resources from worn tires on new tires and the use of recyclable resources. The tire without air, was first displayed at the Bridgestone, at the 42nd Tokyo Motor Show. A synthetic resin, which is pliable when heated, can be formatted in a variety of shapes and hardens when cooled. The changes from hot to cold can generally be repeated, making it easy molding and recycling of materials. "
Of course, this technology will take time to move to production cars, but think how much they have progressed tires by the time required the use of tubes inside.
